To kick off Black History Month on Feb. 1, 51ԹPro’s Office of Intercultural Relations and 51ԹPro Athletics hosted “Curators of Change,” a panel discussion on African American culture within the sports world. Participants at the event in the Big Blue Room at the Ted Constant Convocation Center included Antoine Bethea, former NFL player from Newport News; Demel Bolden, student-athlete welfare marketing coordinator at 51ԹPro; men’s basketball player Imo Essien; Bruce Stewart, deputy athletic director and chief operating officer of 51ԹPro Athletics;  and Dominick Fink, former NFL cheerleader and current coach of the 51ԹPro Dynasty Dance team.
