Living Expenses: Living expenses for the summer and deposits on apartments, etc. are not included in the above totals. Expenses for accompanying spouse and children are not included in the above totals. All estimates are subject to change.

Funding: At this time, there are no scholarships, grants, or loans available for international students studying at the English Language Center.

On-Campus Housing: On-campus housing is optional from mid-May to mid-August. At other times of the year, on-campus housing is usually not available.

Payment Procedures
  • Students register for classes using LeoOnline (effective January 2024)
  • Students pay for classes online using “UStore”, and the ELC will provide payment links directly to students. F-1 and J-1 students will pay for health insurance online via LeoOnline. Payments can also be accepted at the English Language Center in the form of check, money order, or traveler's check in US dollars and written in English. Checks should be made payable to Old Dominion University.
Refund Policy

Tuition is due in full on Monday of the first week of classes.

The ELC adheres to the university's Drop/Add and Tuition Refund Deadlines. Refund checks are available four to six weeks after the request date.
